POEM: Lights

Tops, Busay | March 26, 2017

As I face the city in front of me,
And the very peaceful night;
Dear love, you come into my mind,
I see you in all these city lights.

Embracing the cold air of life,
And seeing the peaceful shimmering lights;
Dear love, you come into my mind,
Please bear with me, can’t hind it behind.

I know you’re scared but I am too,
I want to quit as much as you do;
Dear love, you come into my mind,
I know I can’t because it’s you.

I know it’s hard and it’s painful too,
But bear in mind, I’m here for you;
Dear love, you come into my mind,
I’d do anything just to be with you.

I hope you’re here sitting beside me,
Looking at the beautiful scenery;
Dear love, you come into my mind,
And make it clear though it’s so foggy.

I want to tell you everything,
But it’s not so easy as it seems;
Dear love, you come into my mind,
You haunt me even in my dreams.

It’s clouded again and I can’t see,
Not even a single living tree;
Dear love, you come into my mind,
In this stupid, crazy, unusual plea.

As I count to one down to three,
I swear I see nothing but only me;
Dear love, you come into my mind,
Even though I know it’s not what you see.

Look at the stars, aren’t they beautiful?
They shine like your eyes but even brighter;
Dear love, you come into my mind;
As I hug myself even tighter.

It’s complicated but I can bear with it,
I have no choice but to show my smile;
Dear love, you come into my mind,
That I want to hug you even just for a while.

Wherever you are, please bear in mind,
My love for you will never die;
Dear love, you come into my mind,
In happy days and lonely nights.

Good night dear love and dream of me,
Feel the love the world has for you;
Coz dear love, even in my mind,
It’s you and me, and always us two.
